The Islamic Culture and Society (ICS) Research Center at the University of Mataram won a competition to conduct a stunting research study in Bilebante village, Central Lombok. Following a thorough selection procedure, ICS’s proposal was recognized and placed first among all nominees. The National Family Planning Coordinating Board (BKKBN) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province organized a call for proposals. The proposed research project is titled “Collaborative Action in Developing a Stunting Handling Model in NTB: Case Study in the Family Planning Village (KB) Generasi Berkarya Bile Bante, Central Lombok, NTB”. The primary researcher, Dr. Saipul Hamdi and Team members are asked to give a presentation on July 18, 2023 at the Aston Hotel in Mataram, NTB. A proposal from the Islamic University of Mataram was also chosen, in addition to the ICS proposal.
This research resulted in the development of a new model for dealing with stunting, as well as a publication of Sinta 2 indexed articles and policy briefs. This study lasted two months and used a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
